Re: Rust!!

Rosy,

Ahh the bandsaw box.... hehehe its not finished, the pic i last posted is ...well no change 🙂

Ricky,

The rust in peace really does work, yan lang yung ginamit ko sa engineering squares. I have not tried other brands though so i cant really say much in comparison. All i know is the above products do give decent results

For blades, bits, small hand plane blades, etc. I am thinking of dipping them in oil, then just wipe off with thinner when it is to be used

What do you guys think of oil?

Used to do that before (putting machine oil, the resulting film is too thin to worry about removing). Dries up in weeks or months but it sometimes takes years before I remember to renew.

Lately started using Boeshield T-9 instead. So far, seems to work well.

Related: For rubber, plastic and similar, I use 303 (the real one, not imitations). Great product. I hope it is not carcinogenic as I have probably absorbed who know how much through the fingers over the years of applying it.

For electrical connections (but not RF), Dow Corning 4 a.k.a. DC4 silicon grease.
