my old leather belt snapped off and released the buckle..the belt is still repairable but i could not find a way to poke the thick leather with the big sawing needle and so turned to my drill and my smallest bit..

this is perhaps the second time i am gonna use this bit i bought way back 1993...at last it found some work to do!

wala na kasi ako mai post eh..pasensha na po...i thought i could still amuse you guys with this post.

LOL .... sulit na pala drill bit V.

Its better to have the tool when you need it rather than not having it. 🙂

I think this is a good thread. I'll take better pictures of my drill bits later and post here.

Re: show your drill bits! hehe

A little OT here bros, very nice pic being shown by V, that's a real close up and very sharp !!! Suggestion, avoid taking pics at night when doing Wips, the flash will just flood the object with to much light, its so frustrating making the images taken to look flat and sort of over exposed specially on close-up or zoom mode.

That's my sort of problem since I reach about so late at night doing metalworks and really no choice in taking pics, I still have to experiment with a flash and another one without a flash and see what looks better and worth posting.

That's all guys, CHEERS !!!

Bro rosy, try mo gamitan ng diffuser. Any white translucent thing can be used. Sheet of paper, takip ng galon ng ice cream, etc.

Google for diy flash diffuser and you'll get lots of ideas.

Re: show your drill bits! hehe

hi all. thanks for the positive comments.

been busy eh to reply back.

although i use a dslr and a dedicated lens for my posts, it is not always easy to use this kind of camera being sensitive to dusts and all...in fact i can be happy with my camera phone.;)

newer point and shoot cams now are really versatile..with just a flick of a button, you can shoot in macro mode (though not really 1:1 magnification) or zoomed in for distant subjects..

in the pic i posted..the light source is just coming from above from an articulated desk lamp with a flourescent bulb...the picture will turn out better if i place a silk screen or a similar material to dampen the harsh light perhaps.

flash is a no-no in close up photography...yes it is really difficult to get a better pic at night time...and so you need a floodlight...ideally on all sides of the subject to prevent ghosting/shadowing...use a dark background, matt preferably..for tiny subjects.

and to emphasize size, use a ruler or anything that can be a reference.

and avoid clutter...unwanted subjects should be removed.

also try to copy what you see in magazines (one popular woodworking magazine has its editor a woodworker and a photographer)...try a different angle...if you have a tripod the better to prevent shakes...i have a cheap 150p tripod btw..or use your clamps! hehe

O.T.

i think i saw two members posting odd pics....the cigarette box seems to be omni present.:p

i dont want to mix sport with vice.hehe..

pero like Miriam Santiago has said recently on her critics..."i am just exercising my freedom of speech!"

cheers!

V

Re: show your drill bits! hehe

oh btw..

the setting on the cam is:

f=11 (to make the background sharp as well)
exposure=1/2 second

would you believe the cam was handheld?!

basta hinga lang ng malalim then shoot!

Re: show your drill bits! hehe

Cleveland is a very very good brand ... looks like those are still NOS. The newer production I believe are now Chinese but am not 100% sure.
