This is included in my long list of diy tools. Bought this 2nd hand before 2011 ends,

Except for the visible damage on the knife caused by nail
I was tempted to buy this although I cant make any WIP's for now (too busy with other things) because at 17K the price is a steal..

Have to re-type again this reply coz a while ago while I was trying to post a reply, the website suddenly went off line, grrrrrrrrr, hassle talaga naman kasi eh.
Anyway, congrats bro for the purchase of your new toy, man your one lucky dude, at 17K t'was really a steal. I was sana gonna ask you if that unit is the one being sold at Sulit a few weeks ago coz I still remember the seller that its only defect is the blade which was nipped by a nail.
Palitan mo lang blade nyan, as good as new again or you can have it re sharpened, don't know if its possible but there is or was some discussions in one of the threads where one can have a woodplaner / thicknesser blade can be re sharpened, check it out na lang.

@JayL & rosy, thanks mga bro. This is the unit advertised in sulit, still in excellent condition. bought by seller for 29K. I think I'll buy new knives instead of resharpening. How I wish I can start my WIP's again. I have pending projects but cant find time. Also, SWMBO dont allow me to cuddle our baby if Ill do my WIP's hehe..

I made an offer to buy that exact same planer when my old one broke. Asked to buy it a 15k but seller would not budge from 17k. Almost did it but seller lived in Las Pinas and I live in Antipolo. That's as far as the North Pole for me so relented and got a brand new one. I'm happy you got it, another Pinoy Handymanner. Let me know please if you will place an order for new blades. Makiki-ride ako because the way I abuse my thicknesser, I will dull them quick.

thanks bro, I happen to be near Las Pinas so grabbed it hehe. I may be wrong but I think the knives are available locally. Genuine makita thicknesser knives receives a lot of good reviews at amazon. Im fighting the urge to open another box but if I do I'll let you know.
