i got it while i was in the states recently, was supposedly going to use it for the Urn, but apparently i didnt need to, so anyway finally got a plunge router. I tried the Skill plunge router in home depot, there is play from the time you set the depth to the time you fasten the metal lock (for the fixed base ) so i decided on the BOsch instead
May I hijack your photo, Bee. Too lazy to take a photo of mine which is enjoying a lot of use. Got the same Bosch kit (fixed and plunge base with plastic case and whatnots). It was pre-owned and used only twice according to the Sulit Seller. Looks still makinis. He even threw in a 2000W transformer, all for P10k. That's probably just fair. This set will be my "mobile" router. I have another 1617 that will now be "permanently" screwed onto my table. You just don't get to appreciate the convenience of having dedicated mobile and fixed routers until you work with them.

My bosch GWS 5-100 broke down. Downtime is a big factor for metal working. Decided to get a new one GWS 7-100 (slim handle) and a Skil Heat Gun

It cost me P1,800 for the Skil Heat Gun without 20% discount at Gold Tools Enterprises.
Too bad my discount voucher at Panda got wet all info in the voucher is unreadable. I hope Golden has an extra voucher.

Was in Tokyo yesterday and went to this amazing shop called Tokyu Hands. It's 7 floors of DIY, each floor having 3 levels in itself!
Too bad I only had 15min so picked up these.
Hope they're good. The plane is a rabbet plane; note the diagonally wedged iron.
