Tajima tape measures are available at Lim Yee Wan in Binondo.

3m / 10 ft - 200 pesos

5m / 16 ft - 350 pesos

The smallest one I purchased in the US online. It's the one I like best because both tape sides are in inches.

6 ft - forgot the price

here's the one available locally ...English / Metric

Depending on the approximate length I plan to measure I choose which measuring tape to use. I always choose the shortest ( smallest ) one possible ... for convenience.

@Jayl... As you said it sir, This self adjusting tool is very useful indeed. Can clamp any size within its range without adjusting. Once it locate its bite, will lock automatically. I'm also looking a size bigger but they only have this for now. I'm happy for its performance. If i'm not mistaken this is use to be Lockjaw then change to Automatic brand by C.h. Hanson Tools.

I purchased some Tajima tape measures to replace the crap Stanley Lever Locks I have. My problem with the latter is disappearing tape markings.

I'm currently thinking of purchasing measuring tape. This one you got here seems sturdy in built. I'll include the store in my itinerary the next time i will visit binondo... btw is this tool still being produce in japan?

There was no mention of COO on the packaging or tools itself. At the price I paid I doubt if it's still Made in Japan.

There's an even longer verison. I think it's less than 600 pesos.

Tajima is a good brand. High quality rin tape measure nila.

There's a store along recto ave. right side coming from avenida bago mag T. Mapua. Selling Tajima tape measure & cutters. Mas mura sa kanila. I get my Tajima Cutter blade from them.

I got this from a tool rental shop for only P200/pc, they don't need the new metal box (30"L x 11"W x 7"H) of the jack hammer. Too bad they have only two I need at least four.

Some minor modification, transfer the handle to the other side of the box.

Sir JayL, I recalled that some time you have part some of your Mayes rafter square. Perhaps if you sitll have a piece that may be free to be of somewhere then i ll be very happy to have something coming from you. Just taking some chances hehheheheh.... regards:😉

The Mayes rafters squares loot was a one time deal on New Old Stock stuff I stumbled upon in Ebay. There were twelve pieces and all had been shared to fellow DIYers and forum members already.

If I chance on something again you will be the first to know.
