The only tool I have here in manila. Given to me as a b-day gift to bring up the MacGyver in me.
Quiet an evolution compare to my old swiss army knife, especially the color
Re: Swiss army Knife
These tools are very very useful indeed. The ones I have are old and I don't remember anymore when I got these. I use to carry one all the time during my younger years but not these days anymore.

seems we have the same model Leatherman Jay, used to have the the first model of those, broke one and lost another. It was one of those things I wouldn't be without on a trip...

Re: Swiss army Knife
I also do have one a Wenger. However, I do hesitate to bring one during plane trips as it may be confiscated. How could I bring one when I travel by plane?
Re: Swiss army Knife
place it in your checked in baggage...

Re: Swiss army Knife
But I see posters to avoid putting sharp objects in baggages 🙁
Re: Swiss army Knife
best is not to pack it in your carry-on bag.
technically, a folding knife/implement is not a sharp object if it is folded.
i usually place my victorinox 3-incher between clothes in my checked-in pack.
Re: Swiss army Knife
The knife must be checked in, I have several instances before when it showed up on the xray before boarding. Have to go back to the check in counter to have it checked in. They can put it in a separate box/container. You claim it at the baggage carousel on arrival.
Dumb mistakes will always be dumb mistakes, unless . . . . you learn from it, and then it will be learning experience.
Re: Swiss army Knife
Yeah, for a time I considered airport rules for my EDC tool thats why I considered getting this.
In the US, they are already aware of this thus it already belongs to the "not to bring list" but maybe not necessarily here. Hard to spot specially with the other keys in your keychain. Bringing it on the plane depends on you but for me I wont risk getting it confiscated. I'll just stow it in the checked in luggage. Just good to know I always have some tools for everyday that I'm not consciously aware of:)
