I've got several questions in mind regarding tools (different ones) to use with ABS Plastic/Plexiglass/Acrylic. First off --

what type of router bit should I use in working with this material?

TIA

Re: Tools and ABS/Plexi/etc.

I've used carbide bits with plexiglass, acetal and PVC.

ok thanks.

apart from a jig-saw what could a DIYer use to cut designs within an acrylic sheet? TIA

Re: Tools and ABS/Plexi/etc.

Assuming you use a jigsaw because there lots of curves, a small bandsaw or a scroll saw are alternatives. If you just want to cut straight any fine tooth saw should do.

yup, I'm looking at plenty of curves, say like logos, or letters, etc. hmm, I don't think these bandsaws/scrollsaws are feasible at the moment... 🙁
anyway, thanks for the reply again.
