i removed first the float chamber/fuel container

then disassemble the floater and floater needle(mechanism that control the entry of gasoline in fuel bowl) ..the main jet and pilot jet.

then i also check the strainer..located besides fuel cock..

just as i thought..marumi na nga ang strainer pati ang dirt plug..

overall tinangal ko lahat ng pyesa for thoroughly cleaning..

then blow all the holes using compressed air..

ikabit muna ang needle valve sa floater..

return the floater from it's rightful place..insert the floater pin..

pilot air screw and idle screw..dito tinitimpla ang menor..

linisin din ang air cleaner parts bago ikabit..bukod sa langis at tubig..nasa malinis na hangin din ang buhay ng makina..

this shows that there is a key way in needle slide..

Ah, this brings memories of my motorcycling adventures and maintenance pains. I usually break of a strand of brake cables or bicycle cables so I could clean each hole of the Pilot and main jets. Minsan kasi calcified na ung dumi kaya di na uubrang compressed air lang. I also soak the carb parts, w/ the exception of the rubber or plastics, in a 30% Gasoline : 70% Soapy water(tide and water) for about 4 hours para lumambot at luminis ng husto carb exteriors pati narin ung mga dumi sa singit singitan. I blow compressed air immediately after soaking or before I wash out the soap/gasoline mix kasi malambot na ung mga dumi. Pagbanlaw ang linis at kintab and tanggal ang mga bara. Then I wash it with gasoline one last time para mawala ung mga H2O residue. 🙂

that should be align in needle valve housing..notice may dimple like sa loob..

after returning the carburetor assembly in intake manifold..
testing..testing..

natsambahan na naman ni bugel..hehehe..

just thought of sharing..sa mga diyer's na katulad natin hindi na kikita ang ibang mekaniko..tipid na sa labor cost at the same time makakabisado na natin ang ating sasakyan pag dating sa trouble shooting..

yes sir willyf..lalo na pag matagal na hindi nagagamit at natuyuan pa ng gasolina sa loob,parang naninigas at parang may jelly like substance sa loob ng karburador..mas epektib sir na panlinis ang acrylic thinner kayang man lusaw ng duming nakadikit sa singit singit..

Well I guess bro bugel you just saved on having your motor cycle be brought to a cycle mechanic. Sometimes its an advantage really to know a little or perhaps more on basic diy fixing some two wheeled engines. 😉 :bye:

Thanks for this post. It just gave me the courage to clean my generator set carburetor. Now my genset doesn't run on half-choke and its sounding smooth and fine.

Btw, i was wondering if i could change my genset fuel from regular gas to special/premium? Gas stations selling regular gas are becoming fewer and fewer and the regular gas appears to make my carburetor clogged from varnishing of the regular gas.

Pwede bro..yung mga two stroke na motorsiklo dito sa cabanatuan unleaded gasoline na gamit nila dahil bihira na nga raw ang regular gas sa mga gasoline station..

Sa pag adjust ng carb. 1.5 turns ang standard. Meaning, 1 turn is 360 degrees. Make sure na yung pilot jet, air jet , or yung slow jet na tinatawag ay free sa dumi. Gaganda ang andar ng motor. Make it sure din na yung connection ng manifold ay nalagyan ng gasket maker. Para smoot ang andar.
