Re: Clip-on Handlebar
Nice, is that the ER6F sir Ben? I know you all understand the handling consequences due to the body geometry changes since you're a rider, but what is your main goal in changing the handle bar position?

Yes it is also known as ER6F, I think kawasaki renamed it Ninja 650r this year.

It helps when you ride aggressively also the bike will be better in cornering.

@benq,
we hope that you are not jeopardizing your safety with the modifications especially on the handle bar. every inch, angle and weight of the handle bar has its own design purposes. i am too a mc rider 🙂
ride on! drive safely!

Re: Clip-on Handlebar
Thanks Ossie,
I will not really make so much radical change that would undermine my safety.
Clipons are already a big industry in bigbike aftermarket products.
For many years it has evolved from special custom-made item in to a full unquestionable safe product.
My project is really nothing new.

Re: Clip-on Handlebar
There are many aftermarket clipon makers for Ninja 650r.
Suburban Machinery,Vortex, and Woodcraft are some of the biggest name in motorcycle clip-ons
If i will buy it from them and just install it, that will cost me more or less 10,000 pesos including freight and customs taxes.
If i think i can copy their designs to make my own, then i would really save a lot. Besides, the satisfaction of DIY is priceless
One more enticing reason to DIY is that there is nothing of any sort like this made locally.
Here is one commercial product:
Re: Clip-on Handlebar
For someone capable of fabricating these products, benchmarking their design is really stimulating.
