Hi guys. Hope my posting of photos works this time.
Simple dining table base. Ash again. Tempered glass again. For my mother again. hehe.
mortised it. First time i tried to mortise and tenon. Its hard to perfect. And since im not confident with my joints i put braces inside and along the sides of the corners.
Lessons learned for this one - finishing is serious business. Mine bloched, was un even etc. i used konig oil based wood stain. brown mahogany. but i think i shouldve used sanding sealer. Top coated with one layer of konig satin.
I rushed the sanding as well process as well. Have to improve drastically for my next project in joinery, and sanding perfection and finishing. Di bale, next project has no deadline. Just a queensized platform bed with storage for me. HELP FINDING GOOD WOOD for it please! hehe
