I just finished my workbench and now thinking of securing my tools. And here's my idea. I want something that is compact and will store all my hand tools and consumables like screws, nails, sand paper, glue, etc. Also, I want something that I can easily pick up my tools. Also, since I only have a sedan, I want it to fit in to my trunk.

Here it is.

The top drawer will hold my hand saws. This way its easier for me to pick them up. I think maganda naka hang mga hand saw para di sila napapatungan para palaging straight at di nakakasugat.

The back drawer is removable so I can hang it in a wall (ideally in front of me) This will contain most of my commonly used tools such as chisels, carpenters square, marking knfe, etc.

Re: 2nd project - Toolbox

personally i think any box that will be a fit all box. (will have all items, tools and consumables) will be heavy to be lagging around. plus the weight pa of the box itself. im thinking you will be using 3/4 ply for that. that box would be a good box to stay sa workshop though. its a very nice design.

i have the heavy duty metal box drawer boxes in my workshop. its just 4 layers per piece but i would not think of carrying the box with me cause its already heavy as it is

Agreed on the weight . I suggest you install casters if you push through.

Re: 2nd project - Toolbox

I have a portable toolbox that contains things that I would need when doing some repairs around the house. It's mostly empty but I fill it with whatever tools I anticipate I would need before proceeding to whatever room in the house I need to work on.

To contain all my hand tools, I built drawers underneath my workbench which I find very convenient. (see photo below). For large power tools, I built shelves (sorry no photo).

The reason im planning to make this kind of toolbox is because I live in an apartment where space is really an issue plus sometimes I go to my friends house to do my woodworking stuff coz his place is bigger.

Im still thinking about this since im planning to move to a bigger place.
