honestly wala din akong experience sa scroll saw..its the smaller version of the bandasaw with very limited capacity.

Re: 6 pieces Dining Chairs

5th installment WIP of this project: Initial dryfitting of first chair, still plenty of things to do.

Probably the coming weeknights will be dedicated for sanding only.

..itutuloy..

Re: 6 pieces Dining Chairs

..nth installment WIPs after the typhoons Pedring and Quiel. (last year it was Juan who stalled my project)

after days of manual sanding and ROSing, they're ready for final glue-up:
l

another dry fitting before final assembly.

and the final assembly. I have limited clamps so I'll be doing 1 unit a day.

One was already unclamped this morning and another was already assembled and by this evening a third unit will be glued-up.

The beauty of uniform measurements and cuts is everything is falling on their right places. No issues so far and I credit this to my horizontal router mortise and tenon jig for the perfect job it gave me.

My self-imposed deadline for this project is up to the middle of this month only so I commisioned a shop to do the upholsteries.

I hope to finish this project by this weekend. Sana wag muna dumating si Ramon.

.

Beautiful work, Armand! Siguradong beautifuler pa 'yan pag may finish na.

Pwedeng mag-request ng zoomed-in picture ng kerf after gluing? Thanks!

i was about to ask you, how's the seating's gonna be, if it's solid wood or upholstered ?

apply sana kami ng swmbo ko para may raket naman kami, hehehe....:marriage:

kidding aside, timber's right, try finishing it befpre assembly..

kahit pre-finishing...

Re: 6 pieces Dining Chairs

@armand,

parang nag iba na workshop mo? parang nasa enclosed room na lahat tools mo!

long way to go brader but surely you will get there and when you get there it will be boring again..time to do another woodwork you tinkered ahead.

like they say..its the journey that is enjoyable not the destination.

great project and great horizontal router too.

Re: 6 pieces Dining Chairs

here's Joey's request:

sorry Joey this is the best I can produce..wala pa official photographer ko.

the kerfs were re-opened and i glued shims in them.

@jon

thanks Jon, wala ako experience sa upholstery eh, DIY woodworking lang talaga. Kung 1 or 2 pieces lang to baka ako na gumawa. Its important na uniform ang quality ng 6.

HANEP naman bro Armand, dry fitting pa lang, ang ganda na, what more if that is already stained and with sitting cushions !!!!!!!!!! GRABE AHHH . Bro Armand pwede na kayong mag joint venture ni jonathan, pwedeng pwede pang business na yan ah, HE HE HE HE. :p 😀 :p

BRO in my last reply in this thread, I said watch mode muna ako, sori pre, he he he hindi ko matiis na hindi mag bigay pugay sa present project mo. Congrats bro, dry fitting pa lang yan ha. :banana1:

----------------------------

Sabi na nga ba eh yung horizontal router mortise and tenon jig ang nag padali sa WIPs mo eh. Papaturo din ako nyan pag gawa ng jig na yan some day, he he he he , bro naka bili na ako ng 850 watts router for that purpose, I think OZITO will just be fine for starters for the horizontal router jig.

Thanks Bro Rosy,
