Re: Another Audio Bench...
my arms grew about an inch in mass after rubbing the shelves  but I do like the final result.
then I started another piece until it was flat and squre to the desired dimensions and drilled the holes for the threaded insert nut that will hold the spikes.

and installed the small spikes...
cleaned, sanded and shellac'ed...
looks reddish under the flash...
this should work fine for the line conditioner...

Re: Another Audio Bench...
Ding, the threaded screws are readily available in To Suy and most screw and nut stores...
Doc, the spikes came from the US during online 4 shipment, I ordered 5 sets for my use but opted I didn't really need them, so they get sold for builds like such...

Sorry. This is probably the wrong thread to ask this but I did a search and could not find an existing one.
Would anyone know of screw shops in the Antipolo, Marikina, Cainta area?

you can use a T-nut in replacement of that, but often they carry them, just tell them you need a threaded insert. bring a matching screw that you need them for, else time for a Binondo trip 😀

Re: Another Audio Bench...
TNut won't work for me. I plan to use it to screw my TS onto the stand I made. Since I'd be lifting it occasionally, TNut may come loose if I lift it the wrong way ; i.e. holding the TS instead of the stand. Right now, I'm using an ordinary screw.
I also plan to use threaded inserts. in the future when I make my workbench to screw the benchtop to the legs.
Thanks. Tamad lang kasi ako magpunta Binondo. I recall though there were some funny shop names there like Screw City or Screw King long ago.

like the thread title say, here comes another one, wait... here comes two in the making....
started with rough Mahogany as usual, rough cut to length for easier handling...
and started power planning one side flat...

I need six shelves and I have materials cut for four shelves only, will cut another two tomorrow before I continue... the good thing about this build is I'm growing muscles :showoff:
