Re: Armand's Workbench
Thanks PHM Masters.
very very nice Armand, congrats, looking forward to your ail vise construction.
I must say to those wanting to build a workbench, you MUST have a good handplane and some airtime with it, otherwise a workbench is just impossible... nice shavings as well...
Sir Timb, actually I didn't think much on installing the front vise but the tail vise installation was in my head since the day i bought it from Panda..i really have to get it work according to its purpose.
Re: Armand's Workbench
Fit for living room more than a workshop.
How are you attaching the torsion box top to the trestle? Thru-bolts? Or wood screws from underneath?
Thanks Balarila, just 4 lag bolts from the trestle will be more than enough.
Re: Armand's Workbench
in a quick look, you cannot tell that its a workbench ( just remove the clamp ) 🙂
nice design sir, hangganda 🙂

Re: Armand's Workbench
nice workbench sir, this inspired me to learn more about woodworking. 🙂
Re: Armand's Workbench
and the semi-completed trestle workbench, its very very heavy..i had to call my two sons to help flip the top after installing the vises. I can just leave the table top without it bolted on the the frames.
shown here without the benchdog holes and the wooden jaw for the front vise. (still waiting for the hardwoods from batangas)
Dimensions: Height 34" inch, (my old one is 32")
Torsion Box table top is 30" x 60"

Congrats to a well built work bench. :2thumbsup: :congratualtions:

Bro, I will not blame you for thinking like that on your work bench, If I was the one who made that e lalagyan ko na lang ng 3/4" thick glass top and never use it as a workbench, nakapang hihinayang magasgasan or mag karoon ng dent. 😮 :shocked2:
Maybe I will just preserve that table and who knows it will become a heirloom or pamana ko sa mga anak ko. :cool01: 😀
