@jon,

my anesthesiologist gave me tramadol, a drug for moderate to severe pain..took it a couple of hours ago and suddenly felt this strange feeling of liteheadedness..poor muscle control..as if trembling.

yes tomorrow is a Saturday and i dont think i can operate any tool with a sharp blade.:(

will just enjoy watching your wips.ok?

Re: arts and craft style sofa ( morris chair longer version )

find time to make the corbels.

first thing i did is pre-cut it with a bandsaw..... mali jigsaw pala.

saya talaga pag may bandsaw, all is easy when doing curved cuts. pede ba dumayo dyan sa yo

master timber para mag- pa curved cuts , resaw etc etc... :iron:

with the corbel pattern.

screwed the pattern.

Re: arts and craft style sofa ( morris chair longer version )

i really need this extra long flush trim router bit( 2" ) in my bit collection, this are very helpful when doing pattern cuttngs on thick workpieces.
before i do it on two kind of bits, first pass it with a pattern bit, then change the bit, then flip the piece over with the use of a short flush trim bit.
with this bit, you do it on one set up.
i ordered this online, wala kasi locally...

then make the cut.

it is not uncommon in experiencing tear-out, especially with this yakal, a very hard wood.

so what i did is make a climb cutting technique.

sorry hindi ko napost yung pics on climb cutting, it's like starting the cut from the rear, or reverse.

be very carefull lang, looks like your workpiece are going to be eaten up by the bit...

Re: arts and craft style sofa ( morris chair longer version )

these are all the accomplishments, all in a day's work.

bandsaw is the ideal tools for this kind of cuttngs.

with a bandsaw, all is done in a breeze....

and here it is, after all the pieces are smooth sanded.

Re: arts and craft style sofa ( morris chair longer version )

your narex chisels are waiting for you here at home brader, sure you can drop by the shop to make your curved cuts, so much easier on the bs and less waste for your router bit to remove.
as for an eb dyan sa inyo, let us wait for others to chime in so we can make the visit este inspection...:detective:

I believe you ca start the finishing process on the lower parts brader, when everything is complete, yung visible portions na lang gagawin mo... Nice work as always. :victory: keep it up...
