Posting here my ongoing project, a bartop winerack for two bottles with wine glass holder. I am using 4 different kinds of hardwoods for the different parts.

Here is the Sketchup plan.

The black wood is Kamagong, the red wood that holds the bottle is Balayong, the brown horizontals are Dao, and the orange vertical posts is Mahogany.

Re: BarTop Wine Rack

I started this project by milling the kamagong on my shopmade bandsaw.

Re: BarTop Wine Rack

Next is the Balayong, here ready to be planed on my thicknesser.

and this is the thicknessed Balayong...you can see the sawdusts are very red..the natural color of this wood specie.

I then processed it on my sliding miter saw for the exact dimensions.

then trimmed on my table saw.

Re: BarTop Wine Rack

WOW !!!! bro Armand that is a very beautiful personal wine rack design. Love the way you used different wood species in the project to achieve different wood colors/hues making it very very natural.

Are you still going to include wood notches or some gaps (do not know how it is called) on the kamagong above to hang say two brandy glasses ? I think that will complete the design during the presentation.

Anyway personal opinion ko lang yan. :p

Congratulations on your entry ! 😉

Thanks bro Rosy..and yes slots will be added for the wine glasses, as in the plan. The top part is not yet glued to the main body, I have to make the holes and slots before I can attached it to the main body.

The kamagong was picked up in a Sierra Madre restaurant in Infanta during one of my motorcycle adventures in Quezon. The balayong came from batangas and the rest are from Taytay.
