boxes seem to be my thing. I always find myself building them for as long as I am woodworking. I always knew that boxes are the foundation of basic woodwork. with boxes you can make Cabinets, tables, chairs... etc.
here is my latest build. an record LP(long playing) box.

still without a bottom, decided to pop the grain with oil before poly can be applied.

I'm more into smaller boxes, jewelry or for any other small items

wow super laki ng pic ko!

platera..dismantled and salvaged this 12mm thick x 13" wide plank..wood is dirty (from decades of use perhaps)...

measured 1.5" from edge and cleared this nail studded part with a jigsaw..sayang wood!

see more of the wood by clearing surface dust and dents..of course i cant do handplaning nowadays this wide..this job is for my 2012NB in hibernation.

much better now..i see a future project for this.

note that the bosch 4100 is leveled to all of my work tables..this time as an outfeed table for the thicknesser...much easier to work now than 1 year before.

to continue making the sides of the box..a long strip of 12mm x 120mm plank..straightening using the #5.

using a straight edge to check for the straightness

on the rt with a 12mm straight bit to make the recess for the bottom board

test fit..slightly loose.

time to cut them to length..i turned to my miter saw sporting the new cmt blade

close up view of the carbide tooth edge...laser cut indeed.
