Was doing site visits in Laguna today when I came across this stump lying around in the trash.

Was told it's camachile so got it. Never worked with camachile before so planning to cut some small planks on the bandsaw and see what it's like. Worth exploring or am I wasting my time?

Re: Camachile

Camachile - One of my early jewelry boxes has camachile as part of the box, very nice grain, curly and can sometimes with unpredictable pattern. Also very red in color when varnished.

here's the pic of the camachile on the cover of my Loch Ness jewelry box and that piece of wood at the background.

Re: Camachile

Thanks, Armand.

Now, I'm encouraged to cut planks of this stump on my bandsaw. Problema na lang is that the wood is fresh.
