Re: Cutting plywood!

Hi,

Of course the old time handsaw but kinda slow so most woodworkers here use the circular saw
which is faster and more accurate. There is also the track saw or worm drive saw which are
more expensive.

Well for the circular saws, you will have to make yourself a straight edge guide for easy cutting. 😉

CIGWELD Weldskill 250 amp Mig Welder
AHP Alpha-TIG 200X welder
HITRONIC 300 Amp DC Inverter IGBT Welder
YAMATO 300 amp AC Stick Welder
YAMATO 200 amp DC Inverter IGBT Welder
DeWALT Chopsaw
HOBART and ESAB Welding Helmets
cloned STIHLs
MS 044 chainsaw
MS 070 chainsaw

Re: Cutting plywood!

Hi Rosy,

I am using circular saw last time I did cut three times but it's not straight i don't know why i also bought a guide for it. Maybe i don't know the correct way of using the saw.

thanks,
Rhikoy

How is that so, you have I suppose a straight pencil marking and the straight edge guide clamped tight on the plywood/board you are cutting, maybe you have to cut the plywood slowly checking and looking from time to time at your blade cutting in the straight line.

Or maybe there is something wrong with your circular saw, maybe its not aligned. What brand of circular saw are you using if I may ask ?

Well just what balarila said, practice makes perfect. 😉

Re: Cutting plywood!

I agree with rosy, be sure to check the circular saw and jigsaw for proper alignment. A good square is all needed.

Re: Cutting plywood!

Often its the driver's fault, but sometimes its the car. Check the blade for wobble also check the blade. Some manufacturers supply a cheap steel blade without carbides to lower the price.

In my experience, when my jig is not sliding smoothly, my cut using circular saw is not that straight. Better apply wax (floor wax color white 20 pesos only isang maliit na box) your jigs and your saw along the tracks that the saw glides.

Re: Cutting plywood!
