Re: DIY Table Saw

^redbird you did good in shipping it in balikbayan boxes instead of lcl. Less worries in dealing with customs re duties and taxes. You just have to choose a reputable door to door carrier like lbc so you"ll be assured that items MIGHT arrive intact. Also better to document everything and pack separately so those guys in our port wont be tempted to confiscate:D(steal) it.

Re: DIY Table Saw

Common concern for us is space, hence most use contractor saws... If I had space for a dedicated ts, I would already have a Delta or sawstop:p
What I am interested in is 100 pcs of stanley handplanes.... We would get along well:clap:
Cheers

I am still trying to learn how to attached pics in my post. Here is the photo of what I have cleaned up so far. Correction, they are combination of Stanleys, Miller Falls and Sergeant hand planes. So let see if this works....

Is that A no.2 on the far right?
There is a handplane thread, maybe we should discuss it there. We would be off topic here.....
Nice collection btw....

Re: DIY Table Saw

Thanks for the insight that LCL has a customs issue. I guess there is no such thing (yet) as fixed cost LCL (i.e., with customs duties/taxes already pre-arranged and buiilt into the price, as in door to door). Also good to know that the door to door forwarders can give discount for a large number of boxes.

Looks like there is enough inventory there to start a flea market locally!
