doing nothing on a lazy sunday afternoon..i found a piece of silk screen cloth i kept inside the dungeon...a project popped out instantly!
when i borrowed Master Timber's 2012NB accessory dust port, he pointed to me that fine dust coming out of the thicknesser is just minimal, hence I could just make a dust bag to wrap around the exit port of the dust collector instead of choking the vacuum cleaner with wood chips..
fact that using the thicknesser means more frequent cleaning of the vacuum..(i havent made a thien baffle yet but i hope someday)
hah! i found a useful job for my 110V surplus sawing machine purchased for 2K in 1998 from Pier.
hmmm..not bad hah!
wrapped it using a quick release blood collection torniquet

Re: dust bag for dust monster thicknesser
So no need for vacuum cleaner now .... saves on electricity aside from the noise reduction . Hehehehe If so project paid for itself already.

@jay,
dust control via screen cloth bag efficiency still below target (roughly 70%), will need to improve the fit of my retrofit chip collector..me lumalabas kasi sa sides...kaya me vacuuming pa din. but at least hindi diretso sa vacuum tank...:bravo:
