I don't think it could have been said any better than this.

Actually in woodworking meron better saying... " measure twice, cut once.... and measure again" :lalala:

Re: getting the feel of woodworking

very decent price indeed for a decent tool.

thanks for posting additional actual pics...looks well built from a parent company who makes reliable power tools.

Skil brader is in fact built by Skil, though now owned by Bosch is still a separate entity...

Re: getting the feel of woodworking

Can you be more specific? Marking gauge or marking knife?

For a marking knife, the common utility knife/cutter can do.

Dumb mistakes will always be dumb mistakes, unless . . . . you learn from it, and then it will be learning experience.

Re: getting the feel of woodworking

scratch stock type marking gauge yan....

me extra ako..made in sheffield england..not exactly like the wood species you posted..if you like pm me.

otherwise you can DIY..

all you need to buy is a knurled knob which you can can buy at true value...

or at http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=651&filter=knurled%20knob

problem is...the knob is just too expensive at true value..300p yata a piece!

plus the threaded insert

or bumili ka na lang sa mujingfang! hehe

ask moji...

Re: getting the feel of woodworking

i chose medium density wood for my sawhorses...yes just scrap wood...

make them stackable.

and try to make three...not just two..

this will be very useful for cutting sheets using a circular saw.
