Re: handcrafted cues

very nice work as always Ron, maybe you can share a part of the build like inlay or finishing schedule. I don't really think your products would be threaten if someone learns a bit about them. besides it takes years of practice to be good at cnc... este your type of work

Re: handcrafted cues

hi sir timber...yes it takes years to be good at cuemaking...handcrafted cues that is...unfortunately we dont have a cnc machine to utilize in our shop..all inlays are made of hand, here are some pics that i would like to share..

it all begins with the wood...where planks of maple...burls of amboyna and blocks of kamagong(ebony) are kept dried...aged wood only is used, youngest wood we have is about 5 yrs old...

this is amboyna burl...

then cut in 2x2's....

Re: handcrafted cues

spalted tamarind..

swirls in amboyna..

inlays.points as they are called are taken out of the outer part of the amboyna burl..thus the 2 colors...

lined with natural blue maple veneers...always sharp as they should be...

Re: handcrafted cues

thanks sir ernie and sir rosy...

@sir ernie about the wood wala po kami malalaking sizes dahil upon arrival chop chop na agad sya into 2x2's...but as soon as may bagong dating akong mga kahoy ill send you a message and pics of the woods...bago ko i chop chop...

@ rosy...thanks much for the well wish and we are also happy that pinoy talent is shining...lately i had the chance to send a cue to germany and made one german happy...he was so thankful because wala ata amboyna sa kanila...a greek pool player also did have one of my cue and again was very happy with the way Filipino cues are made and how the hit feels...

thanks and regards....

Re: handcrafted cues

yey!! thanks sir. parang id like to try and make a small catch-all box using that kind of wood. parang the wood itself palang makes what ever you will do with it look great. haluan mo pa ng precision and love sa piece equals ART!
