i hope you can help me on which hardwood would be best for a kitchen countertop and kitchen island table. here in tampakan (south cotobato) a neighbor mentioned that he knows of a person selling some hardwoods locally called as indang and red nato. i googled both wood and the good thing about indang is that its fire resistant. red nato on the other hand is reddish in color and from what i read in the internet is normally use as a replacement for mahogany. as far as the price is concerned, their almost the same. i'm not really that familiar with hardwood, so i wanted to hear from all if anyone has used this hardwood before and get their feedback in terms of which of the 2 has a better finish quality. my primary concern is which wood, when properly stained and finished, which will show the natural grain of the wood better. thanks in advance to all that will provide some inputs to me 🙂
if you have any other hardwood to recommend, please do so and also mention the local name of the wood so that i can inquire it here. my workers also mentioned "igim" as a good hadwood. i hope i spelled it correctly 🙂 ... cheers
