Re: help with this shoe rack

Pivot pin lang yan attached to the angle opposite the arc (dun sa pinakasulok) or you can use a round bar running the entire length of the rack for more strength.

Bro palagay ko hindi sa pinakasulok yan. malapit lang sa bungad ang pin niyan parang ganito:

@ Darrrling
Nice project!... if i find time. igagawa ko rin si misis niyan, para hindi magalit kung may tools na darating dito sa bahay hehehe

@fortnapz,

I think ARMAND is right, those are just pivot pins attached to the corners of each "revolving" shoe boxes with female counter part attached to the walls of the main body of the shoe rack, very similar to that plastic casings you are showing, only thing is that they are in multiple "boxes or casings".

Re: help with this shoe rack

OT also: Thanks Rosy

Currently working on 4-color T-shirt silkscreen printer for a friend (Gratis).

I saw also this darrrling's shoerack picture from the internet long time ago and wanted to build one but can't find that attachment to swing the racks until I saw one being repaired in our company's maintenance dept. It is a china-made shoerack made of MDF materials with plastic mechanisms to enable the racks to swing, with built-in stoppers..its kinda complicated to build. So a pivot pin or round bar is what i thought of.

Re: help with this shoe rack

Taking into account that the TS is a newbie, I can't see any reason why simple hinges or a piano hinge won't do the job.

The quarter cylindrical "drawers" with compartments would be the harder part.

A stopper or a brass chain will prevent the "drawer" from falling forward.

Just...[COLOR="Red"]DRILL IT!

Yes hinges will absolutely work but nobody would want to see the hinges at the edge of the drawers unless you move the hinges a little deeper to conceal it. But that option too will have a disadavantage as it would result to an opening beneath the drawers.

Re: help with this shoe rack

I hope this 3rd option will do the job right. Using 3/8" round bar installed inside the drawers, much cheaper and available at any nearby hardwares.
