Hi sir! Would like to ask help gain. How do I strip off old varnish / stain from an old narra coffee table?
Can I use ordinary paint stripper (stripsol) on these? or should I just sand it till the wood comes out?
I'm planning to just coat it with clear lacquer after so that the real wood shade of narra comes out.
Thanks again sirs!
Re: How to strip off varnish from old narra furniture?
I sanded one. An old narra furniture too. come out nice
not sure about paint stripper. When you use paint stripper you have to sand it after as well i think.
so might be less time consuming to sand it off the bat
Re: How to strip off varnish from old narra furniture?
can you please post a pic of that coffee table.
id safely delay my answer until i see what you got there.
truth is..i hate the idea of re-doing someone else's finishing work not unless its a 18th century coffee table like the one recently sold at christies for 8.5million dollars just made of mahogany.
