Try to get the MSDS from IKEA. In absence of MSDS, we could assume that the MSDS of its primary ingredient (boiled? linseed oil) applies. Look for MSDS of linseed oil. I *think* linseed oil is 'combustible' and presence of 'drying agents' (to accelerate drying) increases risk of ...
Regardless of MSDS, there is the 'spontaneous combustion' problem if spilled:
DIY Danger: Linseed oil that can self-combust
The other listed ingredient is 'wood oil'. Who knows what that is. Sounds as bad as Sadolin 'Hardwood Oil'. Is there a Sadolin Softwood Oil? Plywood Oil? Notice that manufacturer omits any description of what this Sadolin Hardwood Oil really is. Nowhere on label or website can you find what it is. There is evidence from other sources though that it is just linseed oil.
If you have the opportunity, suggest you try to find 100% pure tung oil (not 'tung oil finish') and bring or have that brought on the plane instead.
