Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

You’ll be amaze how fast wood movement happens here in my place just took my lunch and after that refit my work and it won’t fit the wood moves about 1/16” have to make a shallow rabbet on to the plywood for it to fit.

Dry fitting and hope it will stay that way.

Then gluing it up.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

You know the answer Timb all Stanley square are consistent with a 1 degree off to square maybe the machine there are using for reference is not calibrated to square, that why I build the panel cutter for accurately cutting a true square one test to probe you are cutting precise square is after cutting flip the one stock and it should be align and straight. Or stocking both square and flip the top is should be align on both edge and flush. Before I trust the Stanley square in calibrating both my saw blade and my miter gauge and it always gives me a disastrous result.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Continuing on my project, need to tip my saw blade to 45° for a miter cut of the leg drawer.

After cutting made a profile and trace it to the leg drawer.

Assembling the drawer to which the leg drawer will attach.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Its very seldom I used this tools but if you want fast drawer construction w/o any fancy joinery this is my best bet “ haft lap joint glue and brad nail”

Nail the drawer runner to w/c the drawer leg can ride on to.

Cut the profile on my band saw.

Dry Fitting.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

To reinforce the miter joint made a spline jig. Made the rail to fit my standard issue fence.

Glue 8 pcs ½ inch mdf and cut 45® for the base

Screwed and glue and its ready for its first cut.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Hold the leg drawer firmly to the jig making sure that the base is sitting properly.

4 pass should finish the two sides.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Had to push my butt to make this project on progress. Need to attach the lower drawer with screw for this I used a countersink bit.

First it drill a pilot hole then a counter sink makes job more easier and less time to set up.

The output needs screw.
