Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Drill holes for the handle.

Attach the back.

Trace the profile and prepare to cut using my jigsaw.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Finish cut of the back same profile as the front.

Find this drawer a little tight to the frame.

So to remedy that a cheat a little bit by making a 1/8 groove to the side of the drawer to give an illusion of a 1/8 gap.

For the sides I used the table saw its much safer.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Sanding all the parts in preparation for the finishing. Although I’m still figuring out how am I going to attach the counter top it saves me time pre finishing.

Very nice!

Ok lang yun, kahit mejo off yung trip nila sa kung ano sa tingin natin ang mas tama. Since para sa kanila yung project, isipin na lang natin na mas importante ay kung san sila masaya.

Which I believe your SWMBO would really appreciate =D

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Slow progress on my jewelry box still figuring out how to attach the counter top with a 95° inclination so I concentrate on the upholstery. Need to construct a plywood box insert w/c I’m going to upholster and attach inside the drawer, cut some plywood at the table saw.

Trim to size.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Test Fit need a 1/8 gap in all sides will install a foam to tightly close side gaps.

Redo my counter top because it warp dramatically with that process I reduce its thickness from ¾ down to 5/8. Then run it again to the router table to give its sides profile.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Sit flat on the carcase.

Now back to the problem on how I’m I going to attach the countertop. Finally I solve the problem by offsetting the hinge on the countertop. Made a jig for hinge to attach.

I used 5/8 ‘ template guide with a ¼’ straight bit.

Re: Jewelry Box 4 SWMBO

Test fitting the hinge, the 1/32’ gap is intentional for easy aligning when install.
