Re: Kawasaki Power tools

If you mean J.C. Kawasaki, yes they have one service center for repairs, parts is also available in the market.. Kawasaki is categorized as light-duty..
Though let's hear what the PHM Guru's think of the brand for its durability..

Re: Kawasaki Power tools

Well I'm no tool expert but uses several power tools as well for my own needs and purpose. Not a wood worker but from time to time would do personal projects using hand tools and power tools for it. I suppose every one knows here that I am more into metal working and welding so what I use are power tools for metal.

There are are a number of new brands of power tools in the market now, there's Stanley, McCULLOCH, LOTUS, Homelite, KAWASAKI, Hitach, Zekoki, AEG plus others and the surplus from Australia like RYOBIs, XUI, GMC, OZITO and perhaps some more I guess. I have seen these brands in mall hardware stores and home depots and it seems they have been tagged as for DIY use only. And I have used some and have lasted me many years and even used them heavily.

With regards to the KAWASAKI brand, I just don't know if it is related to the original KAWASAKI brand of Japan that produces high quality garden tools, motor cycles and other machinery. Don't know either if the manufacturer has a licence/permission to use the Kawasaki brand of Japan.

And just my own opinion, if anyone buys this new brand of power tools mentioned , as long as its brand new, I guess its ok, at least you know its brand new and have no issues on some defective parts or its functions and if its only to be used occasionally like some of the other brands stated which I think are now manufactured in China. Also just be sure they have a service center where you can have it checked if it gets defective. I have nothing against power tools manufactured in that country as long they are still under the supervision with trained technician by the original manufacturers. Durability, I suppose they are fair enough for DIYing purposes.

Even the known US and Japan brands of heavy duty power tools that are in the market now like Bosch, DeWALT and Makita and some more are being produced in China, I guess due to very cheap labor cost.

Hope this helps and contributes. 😉

Re: Kawasaki Power tools

Huwag lang sasabihing mahinang klase ang isang lighty duty tool kung ginamit ito mo sa heavy duty jobs at abusive handling...hehe....

Depende kasi sakin IMO yung word na "durable". Durable ba for light duty o durable for heavy duty na trabaho.

gaya nung mga kakilala kong may mga shop samin, sabi nila "ilang beses nako nagpalit ng armature neto, mahina pala ito"...papano eh kung sino sino nagamit at abusadong paggamit pa.... tapos light duty version pa yung ginagamit. hehe

Re: Kawasaki Power tools

Great Tool I bought is J.C.Kawasaki MMA/TIG 200Amps DC Inverter Welder. I found out the post circuit deliver constant current output. If the O.C. LED lits, automatic voltage cutoff at the post until Yellow LED goes off again and ready to use. I reverse engineering the product and put Digital display on it. and change the range from 6 amps to 220 Amps.

Can you re post or transfer your first post at the Sub Forum METAL WORKING tools since your subject is about your new purchase of the J.C. Kawasaki MMA/TIG 200 Amp DC Inverter Welder.

This is a WOOD WORKING forum discussing the brand Kawasaki Power tools for wood use.

Thanks,

I bought a JCK jigsaw and rotary tool because I am on a budget and now seldom engages in DIY work.
This is for light duty work so I hope it lasts.

Had anyone here used or has been using the JC Kawasaki mini grinder with telescopic pole and flexible shaft? Is it good? Kindly tell us about its performance on your tasks. Thank you po.

ang bad trip naman kasi sa mga cheap products, ginagaya nila yung kulay ng old timer products...tulad nitong kawasaki...napakadaming pangalan na pede ipangalan kung bakit kawasaki pa....if you hear the word, motorsiklo will come to your mind almost without thinking.
they are cheap because the materials they use are cheap...sorry na lang kung me lumipad na parts at tumama sayo...

i dont have any bad words against hoyoma, makuta, makute, makete, etc etc..pero sayang ang pera..kahit DIY lang an tools sila...libo libo pa rin ang presyo ng mga "cheap" wannabes na yan...sa panahon ng internet..mag youtube na lang kayo and be an educated DIYer.

i will never buy that "motorcycle" brand..bka ryobi, pede pa kahit surplus!

pag nasira, oo nga maaring libre parts and service, pero yung hassle at pamasahe mo sa pagdala sa service center! thats the unacceptable.

besides, its a downtime dahil hindi mo natapos ung project mo on time kasi nag bog down yung tool.

where is your pride then?

mag ipon ka for quality tools...we have been there and done that. wag mo na sana ma experience ang na experience namin.

mag tipid!
