Hi all,

Just like to ask for your suggestions. I have a fish pond and the filtration system has wooden covers, which are basically just several planks of wood placed over flowing water. But after about 3 years, fungi and the outdoor elements have ravaged the wood. Can anybody suggest an alternative? I'm looking at Matimco weatherwood as an option. I need wood that doesn't have any harmful chemicals that'll seep into the water of my pond and harm the fish. But also able to withstand high humidity and resist fungal decay. Also can anybody suggest any type of safe staining for added protection that I can paint on the wood?

Thanks.
