If thats per board ft thats about the rightbprice for a kiln dried mohogany piece.yan yung going rate, sad to say that no discounts given there. There is also a place near antipolo ding that you can get those wood for the same price

I have always been buying mahogany from Rose Industries and they were rough-cut and fresh for P60/bdft. Mahal pala.

Joey81 saw my 2pcs KD 2x6x4' Mahogany bought at MC commercial in Taytay at P54 per bf. Their Tanguile is P88 per bf.

what species exactly of mahogany is being grown in the Philippines? I read in one old issue of wood magazine that there are three priced species of mahogany..one in south america (honduran/cuban..) and another one in africa...
ours is labeled Philippine mahogany/ "lauan"...is a poseur as they say...LOL
any enlightenment from the gurus.

Managed to find a legitimate source of KD mahogany (from Malaysia) at P55 & P77/bd-ft (rough & smooth respectively)

you'll know just by looking at the board if its Laun or swietenia macrophylla which is btw we have an abundance of just go to ninoy aquino park and wildlife they have most of the tree that is available in our forest and genuine mahogany is one of them, and most of the big lumber yards in valenzuela and tatay know's which is which and wont sell you laun as true mahogany and vice versa, and then there's kalantas which is also easy to distinguish because of its sweet scent,
