Kitchen Cabinets (Overhead & base cabinets)

Doors
Melamine Board 18mm thick, color: bamboo
With aluminum continuous handle

Section of the aluminum handle.
Need to put a 2.5mm x 14mm deep groove the board to install the handle. Good thing I have Freud Thin kerf blade. I just run the circular saw at the edge of the board.

Re: MDF Boards Projects

How do you deal with walls that are not square and wala sa hulog? Im curious because it seems you cut your pieces off site.

Moji,

Pag hindi square yun wall hindi ko sinasagad yun side ng cabinet. Naglalagay na lang ako ng filler 1-2" width to cover the gap. Pero kung 1/4" lang yun gap, acrylic gap sealant na lang ginagamit ko.

I always make sure na naka level at nasa hulog yun cabinets. Im using adjustable footing sa base cabinet at adjustable cabinet suspension fittings sa overhead cabinet. Kung mapapansin mo by module ang gawa ko ng cabinet. Overhead cabinet is divided into 4 module & base cabinet is divided into 3. After I aligned them saka ko i-screw to connect each module para tumibay. Then pag wala sa hulog yun wall yun pinadulo or outer side panel ng cabinet ako mag adjust.

Kitchen Cabinets (Overhead & base cabinets)

Bryant77, for instance I wanted to have a similar kitchen counter done with a granite countertop, can I do without the concrete base? Sorry I don't have any idea where to start on our kitchen.

Oh and I read that you're from Proj 4, quite a drive from Marikina but feasible. Can you PM me your contact details?

@tinmuning

Yes you can put granite countertop even without concrete base. The countertop of this will solid surface synthetic granite, 12mm thick with marine plywood under the countertop.

Re: MDF Boards Projects

Really? I was afraid that marine plywood can't support the granite and the stove and all, but of course, what do I know? hehe.

Awaiting your PM re: contact details. Thanks

Re: MDF Boards Projects

Bryant, do you have a close up shot of the adjustable cabinet suspension fittings that you use for the overhead cabinets? What are the load ratings for one of these things?

Re: MDF Boards Projects

Latest update on the kitchen with some cabinet doors & continuous handle installed. The doors of the overhead cabinet on the middle will be open upward with lid stay mechanism and frosted glass insert. It will be my WIP this weekend.

Just waiting for the solid surface countertop to be installed. I'm not doing the installation of the countertop I leave it to the expert (supplier).
