Re: My Commissioned Conference Table build...

got the legs stained, sealed, glazed and finished its first coat. had to use the flash for this...

and getting upset about not cleaning the brush strokes, I decide to spray another coat of poly...

this time I'm very satisfied...

Oh you sprayed poly? How was the process? What consistency did you use?

Your table top looks great..from the reflection wala na yung alon. Good job!

Re: My Commissioned Conference Table build...

thinned the poly about 10 to 15% until the flow was considerably fluid. like you said "milk consistency". the waves were caused by the brush marks and was sanded using 320, 400 and 600 grit. there are still light dust and an insect landed during the night (asar). will probably lightly sand again and was advised to thin poly 75% to leave a very thin final coat which will not bubble and will self level well...

Re: My Commissioned Conference Table build...

Don't you just hate it when insects make the newly painted finish their landing pad? Always have that problem..badtrip pa pag tinanggal mo tapos naiwan yung mga legs and wings hehe

Re: My Commissioned Conference Table build...

hahaha, all you need is an electric fan to clear the room after spraying... or you can send me the extra room, I need one badly... :p:p:p
