Re: My Drill Press Cabinet (52k warning)

it is working great and very stable. makes it movable for hiding when not in use and provides much needed storage for bits and more...
I hope you like it as much as I do...
cheers.

Re: My Drill Press Cabinet (52k warning)

i like the idea of this project.

my concern however is that considering the total height of the whole thing inc the drill press and the width of the cabinet, isnt it susceptible to toppling over to its side?

Re: My Drill Press Cabinet (52k warning)

Is that ordinary plywood? What is that silver material on front that is covering the edges?

I was concerned about the high center of gravity myself at first, but even with the cabinets empty, it is pretty stable, once I load the drawes, the center of gravity will be lower and even be more stable.

yes, it is the common plywood and the silver material is PVC edge banding that mimics aluminum.

Re: My Drill Press Cabinet (52k warning)

even with a heavy Kamagong placed offset the table, the DP and cabinet is stable and solid...
