The guys wanted to check out some wood and possibly swap some stories one of these days. It would be nice to spend some time w/ the guys from the East and also w/ those farther but would like to join like jonathan etc.. Just set a date to make it so and I'd be glad to welcome you to my place. Incidentally today I've had 3 PHMers as guests. Would like to thank Ernie_serrano, Balarila and Guad for visiting my place. Maybe we will have a much longer time to chat w/ this forthcoming EB. See you soon.:choir:

Bro, you are not a saling pusa here, since bro jon is planning to visit bro willyfernando one of this days and I would pay bro willy a visit too one of this days for a copy of bamboo drying technique, I deemed it would be nice na sabay na kami ni jonathanscruz plus inisip ko kayo ni Armand na makasama rin since we are all from the eastern side, anyway you two are just a stone throw away from each other, plus it would be nice too to have of some sort of EB tayo pag bisita kay willyfernando and another plus is that you guys are also into woodworking. 😀

So we are just waiting for bro jon to set the sked since he is the one coming from Bulacan pa so joey !, kasama ka parin OK ? 🙂 :p

the weather was fine today, magandang mag apply ng finish...

sanded sealed...

then applied poly ( satin ) finish...

Bro what a very beautiful wood grain, are those grains for real or (faux wood grains) you just made them up ? Anyway how did you applied the final finish of the Poly satin finish, by cloth wiping or by brush ? And also how much is one can of that Poly ?

I know that project of yours will come out very excellent again, bro I can't wait any longer to see it done and standing already so " bilisan na yan " and let's see the final assembly. he he he he he 😀 :samurai: 😀

Kayo mga wood workers and me metal worker, ratio is 4 is to 1, majority wins !!!! ha ha ha ha 😀

yes brad rosy, those are natural wood grain, pati nga ako na-surprise sa grain results,
actually it is the BLO, that gave the wood high-lights...
the oil enhances the wood grain, then the poly pops up the wood beautifully...
brush application lang ang ginawa ko brad.
549 php a liter of can for the ace poly., sa ace hardware.

malapit na matapos brad rosy, finishing na lang ng top ang ginagawa ko,
2 or more coats needed pa...

and here's an update...

final assembly na...

glued and screwed the base to the legs with a 2-1/2" lag screw...
i use screw for added stregnth...

then glued and screwed also the top to the legs...

put dowels to the screw holes

still at the rough finish stage of the top...

i'll post nalang the final product after the top is fully finished...
