Re: my wood working attemp

i dont know why but i always feel nostalgic whenever i see old used timber...

when you desecrate these oldies, you must make sure they will be something better than their old lives.

sarap mag wood work jan lalo na pag cleaning time..it appeals to me a workshop with tiled surfaces...easy clean up..manually or by vacuum.

wala ng kokontra! hihi

V

pahabol...epoxy mo yung void sa wood if you will make it your workbench..otherwise, wood putty will do.

Re: my wood working attemp

we are more than glad to have you here bro...

I believe there are other threads which specifically details the list of tools (basic) to have to do some house repairs and building some woodwork projects.

lets wait for the techie guys to pinpoint to us the links in these site.

cheers!

v is right: there are older threads on this subject.
However, I can't seem to find them, lol.
🙂

So here's my attempt at a basic handyman tool list.

Safety goggles/glasses
Workgloves

Screwdrivers, both phillips and flathead
Allen wrench set
Tape measure, english/metric, 5y/5m
Straightedge/level
Speed square
Carpenter's/Framing square
Caulking gun
Soldering Iron, coil of solder

Linesman's pliers
Longnose pliers

Claw Hammer (preferably all-steel)
Cold chisels
Wood chisels
Hand saw
Metal hacksaw
Small block plane
Wood rasp

Bastard file
Round file
C-clamps
F-clamps
Locking pliers
Monkey/Adjustable Wrench

Hammer drill, variable speed (chuck capacity 13mm)
HSS and masonry drill bit sets
Plunge router (collet capacity 1/2" with adapter for 1/4")
Router bit sets
Random orbit sander
I'm iffy on circular saws, lel: an electric jigsaw is safer, but less useful

A functioning workbench

Masonry chisel
Demolition hammer/prybar, or some TNT and detcord

Try the basics...
Drill
Hammer
Screwdrivers
Saw (powered or not)
Chisels would be handy
Sandpapers
Ruler or tape measure

Buy the tools as needed.

Looking around the house, ano na ba ang kelangan ayusin or pagandahin?

Mas logical ito kesa bibili tayo ng martilyo tapos maghahanap ng mapupukpok 😀

Just...[COLOR="Red"]DRILL IT!

Re: my wood working attemp

I agree to vivaFoxpro.."kesa bibili tayo ng martilyo tapos maghahanap ng mapupukpok :D" natawa tuloy ako hehehe..

Everytime i buy tools i always ask myself..kailangan ko ba ito? Madalas ko bang gamitin to?

Re: my wood working attemp

Regarding sa uneven thickness dun sa tanguile, Gumamit ako ng plunge router na may diy straight jig for wood planing. That solved my problem but matrabaho.

Sir, kung simple house repairs and fix projects, you may want to get inspiration sa isang paborito'ng palabas ng anak ko sa disney junior, 'handy manny and the 7 tools'. 😉

1. vacuum cleaner
2. hammer
3. philip screwdriver
4. flat screwdriver
5. plier
6. pipe wrench
7. tape measure
