good day. i am rhey who just signed up with pinoy handyman (much ty for the invitation of bro jay). now as per my very first browsing to the articles herein, i think i have very much to learn from you experts. and, my initial queries now sirs are: is pvc edge banding compatible with plyboard/plywood? what adhesive is best for this?; and where can i buy the item?

Hello brad, welcome to the PHM community, I'm pretty sure you will learn many things here in the forum since it seems you are interested in wood works. Many good guys here that can give you good advice and info concerning your interest.
With regards to your first question, I see no problem if you use pvc for your edge banding as long as the adhesive you use will be strong enough to stick to both surface, some people use also wood for edge banding and uses adhesives that can easily be absorbed by the two surface to make a strong bond. If you want a real to goodness strong bond, try some construction adhesives, these adhesives do not just bond wood, pvc or glass, they also bond concrete and metals and these adhesives can be purchased at home depots or mall hardware section. Very popular brands are Pioneer and Bostik. Or you can perhaps try Elmer's carpenters glue or Tite Bond.

Hi Rhey, depending on the type of pvc you get (preglued or bare) you either iron it on (I prefer a heat gun with a rubber roller) or use a spayon rubber contact glue (rugby in an aerosol).
