Re: sound quadratic diffuser build...

been pulling hair trying to see how I can improve the Diffusor build.
from these, gaps arise, minute but it shows.

making several new jigs, I came up with this dadoed joint. so much better and stronger.

but the materials just won't cooperate, ply breaks without warning...

glue up is a nightmare and it won't stay square.

so until a solution can be found (I believe that would require four new jigs) these stay in the shop.

Re: sound quadratic diffuser build...

Why does the ply break unexpectedly? Does the frame exert stress on it?

joints are tight and seems there is stress bec. it keeps twisting out of place... hence the jigs needs to be remade...

Re: quadratic sound diffuser build...

Trial and error talaga..at least when you get the jigs right it would be easier to build a lot of those diffusers.
