This is the void
and this is the glass that covers it
Reinforcing it to make sure the glass has enough support when a glass lazy susan is installed. I opted not to make a wooden lazy susan since it seems wiser to use glass anyways
Re: reinforced a void in my formal dining table
thank God for router and pattern bits!
my chiseling has improved
so has my marking and alignment
Re: reinforced a void in my formal dining table
all lap joint markings were done in actual and on the fly
these were done freehand with a router. Its about time i make a dado jig !
nice and snug
Re: reinforced a void in my formal dining table
nice work so far Ben, were you able to use the kerfmaker in this application?
click my signature and it will take you there........
Re: reinforced a void in my formal dining table
yep i did. but not in the way that it was really intended to 🙂
i used it as a memory stick of sorts instead. hehehe
Normally any dadoing will be done in my cross cut sled/TS and since i only have a normal blade i just go for several passes, the kerf maker wouldve been perfect. But i still havent made a crosscut sled for the jimmy jig on my ts... 🙁
