I think PVA based glue won't work. You need a higher temperature tolerance adhesive that is designed for conditions with hi friction like conveyors and sanders. PACMAC may be able to help you but they aren't cheap.

Re: sanding belt

sabi nga ni boss willy...yang belt sander must tolerate heat due to friction...

bumili ka na lang..me mga bagay na ubra pagtipiran kasi...

DIY other things but not sanding belts.

me variable speed ba belt sander mo? baka mas ok pa premium double sided tape kesa sa elmers or any other pva based glue..

V

i have 4 x 24 sized sanding belts ..i can sell some..just pm me.

Re: sanding belt

PACMAC is a chemical specialist company in Makati (EDSA Guadalupe). They formulate or tool adhesives for industrial use. However it might not be practical for your objective. Try to get in touch with QC ABRASIVES in Kamias Rd. Quezon City. They specialize in all kinds of abrasive materials including sanding belts. They are open to small orders and sizes. Their contact Numbers are 9226871 and 9296335. The brand that they carry is FUJI STAR w/c is made in Japan. Hope this finally solves your problem.

Remove the belt from the ptool and measure it from its sides and check how long the circumference is, that is what you need. 3x8 is too short kasi... Must be 3x24" meron sa mayon sa binondo. 78pesos lang... Baka mas makamura ka pa pagbumili ka than experiment. Besides sanding belts use a different type of sand paper, cloth based yung recommended. And not paper backed.

Re: sanding belt

Ozito belt sanders, specifically for models BSG-152 & BSR-800 use 3"x 18" belts while the BSR 1000 uses 3"x 21" belts. QC ABRASIVES will accept even single orders for pickup customers. They also have hook and loop type disks for palm and orbital sanders. There were previous posts about another manufacturer of German made belts in Timog Q.C. somewhere in the Scout area. I believe it was the thread about orbital sanders particularly the Bosch Random orbital sander. If you can scan those posts maybe you can find that supplier. Good luck.
