Re: Shoe Cabinet - Small and simple plywood furniture.

thanks sir. actually di naman siya yung first bookshelf ko. pero this is my first attempt to finish plywood. nainspire ako nung nakita ko yung shoebox niyo eh. pwede pala ang ganung finish sa plywood.

i still have to fit the top of the bookshelf kaya di ko pa nalalagyan ng edging. solid wood yung gamit ko to conceal the plywood edges.

another challenge for me is how to conceal curved edges. but i think i already know what to do. ill post the finished project soon.

sir armand, thanks ulit. Godbless.

I believe the Kreg Jig is available locally kay JayL. Just search for "pocket hole jig" sa OLX Sulit.

And by the way, please avoid text-speak when posting. Thanks!.

yes its available [COLOR="Blue"]HERE.

Medyo complicated ang DIY kreg jig.. unless you really understand how it works. If you are new into this type of joinery, I suggest thatyou get the original from JayL.

Re: Shoe Cabinet - Small and simple plywood furniture.

I just assembled another one cabinet today. The owner doesn't mind its color so i have chance again to try another finishing color. Hopefully tomorrow it can be done.

plywood backing will be attached tonight:

it's much taller than the previous coz it will contain men's basketball shoes.

will wait for the sun tom.

Sir Armand,

Ganda ng pagkakagawa nyan 😉 you make things like this ,parang napaka simple lang gawin.

Ilang plywood po nagagamit Nyo for every shoe rack? Is it possible to share the dimensions and pln on how you did this?

Hahahaha Baka sakali maka ipon ng sapat na lakas ng loob na gawin din to 😉

Thanks adzz, simple na lang gawin talaga ito para sa akin because of the help I'm getting from my DIY plywood rip cut jig.
1 whole sheet of 3/4" plywood. 1/3 sheet of 1/2" plywood for the drawer parts, and 1/3 of 1/8" for the backing. The dimension is 32"W x 44"H x 10" D..the plan?..he he ida-download ko pa sa utak ko pag may USB port na ;).

This is the finished shoe cabinet.

Re: Shoe Cabinet - Small and simple plywood furniture.

hello sirs.
just wanna thank sir armand for teaching me how to finish plywood. starting to learn a new thing is always a struggle for me. it took tons of patience to finalize my first plywood finishing attempt. the bookshelf project turned to be a nice plywood furniture. unfortunately my cam's memory broke so i lost the pics that i took before i delivered it to my client. meanwhile, i was able to finish another project.

thanks sir armand. two thumbs up for you!

Re: Shoe Cabinet - Small and simple plywood furniture.

Nice project jeavons..mirror finished yung top....but ...but kitchen cabinet nga ba ito?

So commercial ka na pala... I suggest invest ka na ng brad nailer para mas mabilis ang assembly. I use the combination of brad nails and pocket screws para mas mabilis and matibay ang gawa.

:congratualtions:

Got the idea from [COLOR="RoyalBlue"]this Site.

3/8" dowels ang ginamit ko para dun sa mga pivot.

Re: Shoe Cabinet - Small and simple plywood furniture.

ahehe... sabi ni client ilalagay niya sa kitchen. kaya kitchen cabinet tawag ko diyan. nyahehe. siya rin yung nagbigay sakin ng design and specs.parang working table sir. polyurethane yung top coat niyan sir kaya labas ang kintab. i just followed your procedure but instead of boysen clear lacquer i used hudson polyurethane.

gusto ko rin sana mag invest sa brad nailer kaya lang wala pa akong nahahanap dito samin na mabibilhan ng brad nails. de pukpok lang muna ako ng finishing nails. hehe

thanks ulit sir.
