Buddies, I need to prioritize on purchasing tools for my shop.
among handheld power tools, router and sander(s) are next in line.
among the stationary tools, i only have the miter saw.
i need a list from top to least priority tools.
thanks 🙂

Re: Shop Starter Tips

What do you have already aside from the miter saw?

For me, it would be:

Circular Saw
Drill
Chisels
Back saw
Table Saw
Router
Sander

in your list, table saw, router and sander are on my 'to buy' list. i already have the others. with my circular saw, i improvise a make shift table saw. thanks for the tip 🙂

While some have done this successfully, I would recommend saving up and buying a good one.

The table saw is the heart of my workshop, the most used tool. In fact, I would put the table saw ahead of the miter saw as one can approximate the work on a table saw what one can do on a miter saw.

Being the heart of my workshop, I preferred a reliable, durable, and accurate workhorse with a lot of safety features.

Re: Shop Starter Tips

For the Kreg, you may want to try JayL, also a member of this forum. He imports in bulk and he may have one set stashed away.

For table saw, Bosch sells a GTS-10J locally (I hope I got the model number correct). Price is fair given its size if you import it. With Bosch, you enjoy excellent service, too. A member of this forum, Golden Maranan, is our friend.

I have a Bosch 4100 table saw which I got from Amazon then shipped here. Try searching this forum on how to ship tools to Manila.

In a nutshell, I bought my TS from Amazon, had it shipped to Forex Cargo (reliable cargo forwarder in CA), then Forex shipped it to my doorstep. Total cost is a little cheaper than local model but may come out slightly more expensive after you buy a 110V step-down transformer. But, IMHO, the US model is slightly better than the local one.
