Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects

MDF speaker stands done in two hours (matagal lang matuyo kasi yung glue ;))

but this will get some finish when I get back, for now, quick and dirty sya 😉
needed to raise the speaker higher than previously anticipated since the chairs I use are higher than couches that the stands are designed for...:D

Nice. Must be some pretty lofty throne you sit on.

Do you need to edge-band MDF?

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects

It looks good timber, did you fill it with sand or was it sturdy enough?

So the old speaker stands are mine na? Harhar! :D:D:D

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects

I was having fun with my new m/t jig. I just finished today a real quickie project, a laser printer table. The table consisted 34 mortises and 34 tenons, all cuts done in less than 2 hours. I used palochina here coz I have plenty of this wood from the printing plant that i work for (we import cheque papers).

Got any nice long pieces? ... that you are willing to sell? 🙂

I'm always on the lookout for long pieces, 8 to 16+ ft, but rarely find them at Timberport on Ortigas Ave. Ext. during the infrequent times I get to drop by there. (Recycled, light, and long ... what I need for a torsion box panel idea.)

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects

@guad: sorry guad pallet size is only 32" square with 1/2" x 5" planks. Timberport is already a good source of palochina, kung wala sa kanila slim na talaga ang chance para makita ang size na hinahanap mo. Why not try Policarpio at taytay.

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects

@jonathan: gawa ka na din ng jig :p...problem ko na lang pambili ng molave para sa dining chairs.

@violaine: that's my constant companion in my shop and my only source of cold air whenever i'm working :p (both fans are 110 volts so I series them to run in 220v)

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects

here's my quickie project, a mic/mic cable, or music wire box.

our church's music department, badly needs a box to safely store the cables, mics, speaker wires,

plugs, etc, etc...

ang dating lalagyan kasi ng mga kable, ay plastik bag lang :p

here's the WIP from start to " finish "

cuttng all the pieces to it's final sizes
