Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects
Unlike the master woodworkers in our forum I only have very simple woodworking needs. If I can make these as easily and quickly as I can then I am happy. They need this for displaying button bracelets and I didn't ask how they will use it but only what was wanted ( so I built it ). I prefer to at least edge band it and give some edge profiles but was declined.
Hopefully will post a pic when it's on action already.

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects
Jay,
I would love to see how you were able to put the felt that nice.
is that felt paper or felt cloth?
Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects
Bee,
I don't even know what kind of cloth it is. It feels like felt when you touch it. Somebody bought curtain materials before and they happened to buy some scrap cloth too. One of which was this. IIRC 40 pesos in Divisoria.
I just cut it to shape then stick it with Rugby. I did not have difficulty as the cloth stays in place because it is thick enough not to move so much.

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects
My Symbo makes these custom ( not mass produced ) button bracelets and necklaces as a hobby . She sometimes join bazaars and supply events / shows to showcase and sell thus her request for me to make some display paraphernalia.

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects
Thank you very much bros.
Oo nga ano DIY small scale upholstery din pala ito. Initially I thought of painting it but was rejected.
@ Bee
You can also try to use other adhesive if you don't like Rugby. One thing that helps make the job easy is to have very very sharp tools.

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects
Jay, Are there spray adhesives that are not too expensive. I believe the Elmer's cost around 300 IIRC which is too expensive just for convenience (for my taste) 😀
Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects
the cheapest spray adhesive would be in the 190 pesos up range lang, nothing lower... unless you can spray them with a compressor. 😀

Re: Show your Quickie Quickie Projects
Yes it's a bit costly but you can do a lot with one spray. I have had these for a long time now and did countless sticking of what not etc..
