Hi, I'm new on woodworking but I'm beginning to love it. I'm having a hard time on making templates for my router. I'm hoping that someone here can help me make one or teach me on how I can make one. I tried watching so many tutorials but I'm still having a hard time on making a template. I'm thinking that if I can actually see someone making it in front of me might help.
I'm from Parañaque. I only have a jigsaw and a router.

Hi gcl 2310, can you post some photos of the template that you want to do? it will help us here to visualize the things that you want.

1/4 plywood is my favorite material as template like this [COLOR="RoyalBlue"]one that i used when i built my [COLOR="RoyalBlue"]bandsaw.

Ok... using your router and a straight bit, clamp a guide rail( can be any straight edge wood) then run your router along the guide rail.
Then use your jigsaw to finish of the corners...

if having a photo in my reply and you dont get it, I think you need to attend a seminar in wood working for you to understand the basic technics 🙂

na confused ka siguro kung paano ilalagay ang guide rail dahil sa tingin ko magsinglaki lang ang base ng router mo at ang board na gawin mong template.
lagyan mo na lang ng guide ang ilalim ng butas na yan, something like this :
then use your router with flush trim bit.
