Re: timber's second workbench

Field trip day :p, went to Hafele to buy stuff and didn't make it to the lumberyard. Thanks Bigfoot, sorry nga lang we got caught in traffic. Di bale sa Tuesday unahin na natin yung lumber run :D.

went to Hafele for Bigfoot to buy his hardware, Dang that place, Moji and I bought lots of stuff while bigfoot wasnt able to get his parts... huhuhu, ubos nanaman pera ...

Was gonna ask if I could join the lumber run last friday night but with a heavy heart, I need to prioritize the car's maintenance. Worse, you even went to Hafele instead which I was eagerly waiting to go to! Sama ko next time ha!

warehouse

from cheap (not really cheap but phase out items for sale, ithink) to high-end high quality hardware goodies.

And Hafele warehouse is open to the public? Or does Timber hold the secret password?

Its open to the public.

Dumb mistakes will always be dumb mistakes, unless . . . . you learn from it, and then it will be learning experience.

Re: timber's second workbench

Day 6 update:
installed the vise, mounted the top to the legs and added the stretchers...

handplaned the top flat. yes FLAT, which made me so happy but so tired too...

then cut a half inch slot to guide the side aprons.

Re: timber's second workbench

Looking good Master Timb..am excited to see the overall appearance once the last apron in front is installed and hides the first metal jaw of the front vise.

Sorry DocV, can't help to check this but I can't see any glimpse of the Makita anywhere in the background.

Re: timber's second workbench

The one sitting on top of the workbench with a screwed in wood fence. I even see an honest-to-goodness panther stepdown transformer. If i were in the market for one, that's what i'll get. (Made in RP too.)

Since you failed in identifying the router, lemme sequester the calendar girl from you eh? =)

====
Will the tail-vise be installed already by e.b. time sir Timb? Maybe a few people will realize the benefits/use of a tail vise when they see it in action (*cough* me)... wasn't your first WB non-square dog holes btw?
