been into music lately and have registered in a number of audio sites locally. people there seems to want a stable tank like table for their equipments. so I decided to make another workbench, but with a twist. instead of designing it wor work, it will be designed to accommodate stuff for audio enthusiast. hopefully someone wants to buy it... hehehe

Re: turntable workbench

time to start cutting the tenons and mortise..

roughing it out...

I wanted a slightly loose joint for glue to fill in...
should be perfect once it is cleaned. though the depth has to be adjusted(too shallow)

Re: turntable workbench

Timber,

Do you use a jointer or are those stocks pre jointed? or do you plane after joining the 2 x 4's?

Re: turntable workbench

handplane to join, and handplane afterwards to clean. no access to a jointer....

Re: turntable workbench

I've done little today, so when I got home this evening I tried to get some work done. marked the legs and feet to avoid mistakes ( I learned from experience ).

then I laid out the mortise locations...

Re: turntable workbench

using a forstner bit on the drill press, I removed the bulk material and set the depth ...

seeing that I got the correct setting on the drill press, I drilled the rest...

time to bring the hand tools out...

got a pair of legs done and felt not to continue, so, I stop for the night before I start making errors.
