Hi!

I plan to buff and polish small wood shapes. I was thinking of using a bench grinder para mas mura--just have it modified if needed.

Any suggestions where to buy the stuff I need? (buffing wheeel, white gold/polishes used... etc. ---I just saw them in youtube videos). I plan to go to Binondo soon and search but any suggestions from you will be a great help.

Salamat!

Re: wood buffing equpment: where to buy?

I buy my buffing clay ( Green, Red and White ) from Yale Hardware in Recto.

I get my 8" buffing cloth from them too . I use an 8" Champion Bench Buffer. The good thing about this tool is that it has longer shafts compared to bench grinders. If I was going to do a lot of buffing then the mod I'd do is reduce the 3,600 rpm speed.

Thank you, JayL!

I will check out the 8" Champion Bench Buffer and the other items you mentioned. Very helpful indeed.
I've been to Yale so I will surely go tomorrow or Tuesday.
I'm a newbie based in Muntinlupa, interested in wood: reclaimed hardwood and small wood DIYs. I am working on a religious item.
