Good morning fellow woodworkers!

Are there wood veneer suppliers (small, hobby quantity) in Manila that you know of? Real wood veneers in 1mm thickness by more than 6 inches width sizes. I was thinking there might be some hobby/craft shops that stock them. TIA.

P.S. Going to make table tennis blades. I have some store bought paddles but the DIYer in my screams to craft myself a couple. 🙂

I did this before, I made my own veneer, although mine is thicker than your requirements. My rule of thumb is if the dimension of the wood I need is more than 1/4 inch I usually resaw, this leaves me plenty of 1/4 thick laying around. From that 1/4 I can easily plane to thickness or sand them. If you needed a few and you can't find veneer readily available, try hand sawing close to your thickness required, then plane or sand them.

I recently needed a 1/4" thin stock for a project. A rip saw works best for me, I can plane down to desired thickness.
